Our warm afternoon, with highs in the mid-80s, is now a pleasant evening as temps fall through the 70s. By early morning, our lowest temperature readings in Fort Wayne will be in the low 50s. There may be some widely scattered patches of thick fog, but fog is not likely to be common across the region in the early morning. Temps will be in the low 50s in Fort Wayne Thursday morning. After any patches of Thursday morning fog dissipate, the day gets off to a nice and sunny start. Clouds will gradually increase as the remnants of Hurricane Francine track closer to us. The area of high pressure that has kept the weather calm and dry this week is likely to stop Francine's raindrops from reaching as far north as us here in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio over the next few days. Francine's rain is tracking north in the upcoming days, but it doesn't reach us here. Our average high temperatures in early-to-mid-September are in the mid-to-upper 70s. However, we don't have a cooldown in sight. Warmer than average air continues to be in place for, at least, the next week and a half. High temperatures remain in the 80s each and every day throughout the 10 Day Forecast. Humidity is staying low the rest of the week. No major rain-making systems are in the cards for us at the time being. Next week, there's a chance a storm system moves from the East Coast in our direction and brings us a chance for some scattered raindrops on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Tonight: Clear. A chance for a few isolated pockets of thick fog.Low: 53°Winds: SE-E 1-5 mph Thursday: Sunny start, becoming partly cloudy in the late afternoon.High: 88°Winds: SE 5-15 mph Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy.Low: 58°Winds: E 5-10 mph Friday: Mostly cloudy.High: 84°Winds: SE 5-15 mph MORE WEATHER RESOURCESInteractive Radar and Regional RadarWeather CamerasWeather Alerts
