MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) --The Montgomery County Police Department said it has arrested a suspected in connection to a fatal shooting in an alley in Silver Spring. Police said that through investigating, they identified 33-year-old Jeriel Demitri Martin as the suspect who shot and killed 34-year-old Jamar Emmanuel Jenifer, of Washington D.C in an alley in the 8000 block of 13th Street. Woman killed, man injured after shooting in Northwest DC Officers said that during a search warrant at Martin’s home in Silver Spring, where he was arrested, they found items that connected him to Jenifer's murder. Martin was charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony/violent crime. He was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and is being held on no bond.
