COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- No. 2 Ohio State is back in action Saturday night, playing Western Michigan at 7:30 p.m. at Ohio Stadium. Coach Ryan Day said he wants to see a cleaner effort and a faster start than in the opening win over Akron. Will Howard had three touchdown passes against the Zips in his Buckeyes debut, with two of those caught by freshman receiver Jeremiah Smith. Ohio State players bond over football and faith Western Michigan led by one point in the fourth quarter last week against Wisconsin before falling 28-14. The game also marks a homecoming for two central Ohio natives: freshman defensive lineman Sid Kaba and freshman offensive lineman Gavin Dabo of Grove City.
