As campaign season begins in earnest I have noticed political campaign signs popping up like mushrooms along public streets and in busy intersections throughout the County. A reminder to candidates and their supporters that Utah law (Utah Code 72-7-102) prohibits the placement of campaign signs in public rights of way such as state highways (224 and 248 for example), medians, road shoulders, sound walls, on ramps, off ramps, overpasses and adjoining fence lines. If you have placed signs improperly, please remove them. And voters, perhaps consider whether candidates who either are ignorant of the law or choose to ignore it are the best choices for your vote.
