Pregnant woman, unborn child pronounced dead after shooting in Wisconsin

KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) - A 22-year-old pregnant woman and her unborn child were pronounced dead at a southeastern Wisconsin hospital after she was found in a car after reportedly being shot sometime on Friday afternoon.
According to the Kenosha Police Department, officers responded to the 1200 block of 65th Street just before 4:30 p.m. on September 6 after reports of a shooting.

Officers arrived at the scene and found a woman in a car that was stopped against a concrete pillar of the viaduct on 65th Street and 13th Avenue. The 22-year-old woman, who reportedly had been shot, was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Around 10:50 p.m., the Kenosha PD updated its original Facebook post and confirmed that the victim and her unborn child had died as a result of the shooting.

Authorities stayed at the scene until roughly 10 p.m. collecting evidence and canvassing the area for witnesses.
