CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A juvenile was killed and several others were transported to the hospital following a serious vehicle collision in south Charlotte on Saturday afternoon. It happened along Sharon View Road near Chadwick Place just before noon. Medic said it transported two patients with life-threatening injuries. Three additional victims were transported with serious injuries. Around 1 p.m., CMPD said a juvenile was pronounced dead at the hospital. No further details have been released at this time. We are working to learn what led up to the crash. Sharon View Road between Chadwick Place and Beckford Drive is closed. The road is expected to be closed for several hours while police investigate.
