(KRON) -- An employee at a San Francisco store was stabbed after confronting a thief on Friday morning, the San Francisco Police Department said. SFPD responded to the 300 block of Montgomery Street at about 9:30 a.m. The employee was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. "The investigation revealed that an unknown male was attempting to steal store merchandise when the employee confronted the male. During the confrontation the male stabbed the employee and fled the scene in an unknown direction," SPFD said. Police have not arrested a suspect.
