Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The South Carolina Attorney General’s office says a West Columbia man is behind bars after officials say they received a tip leading to the discovery of child abuse materials. According to authorities, 26 year old Casey Price is facing four charges in connection to the Sexual Exploration of Minors. Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department say they got a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They say that information sparked the ICAC investigation which alleges Price produced files of Child Sexual Abuse Material. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department took Price into custody September 3, 2024 and he is now charged with four counts of Sexual Exploitation of a minor. If found guilty, Price could face 20 years in prison for each count. This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office. Categories: Lexington, Local News, News
