NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) —Rain continues to come to an end on Friday evening across most of the area. Things will stay quiet tonight before showers and storms begin to redevelop on Saturday. We will see showers and storms pop up as temperatures reach the mid to upper 80s. The main threat through the weekend will be heavy rain. Storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours which could lead to isolated street flooding if they don't move much. Isolated strong wind gusts will also be possible. By Sunday the rain is more spotty around the area as we start to see high pressure building back in. This will mean lower rain chances and warmer temperatures heading through next week.
