(KRON) -- Contra Costa County Fire Protection crews are responding to a grass fire between Concord and Bay Point off Evora Road on Friday afternoon. As of 4:45 p.m., the fire has grown to 150 acres with 0% containment, and immediate evacuation orders have been placed. Evacuation orders are specifically placed north of Highway 4 in the following regions: CCC-E201, CCC-E215, and CCC-E216. Evacuation warnings are specifically placed north of Highway 4 in the following regions: CCC-E217 and CCC-E218. Officials advised evacuating residents to only bring important valuables and keep pets on a leash. They also advised people to stay off their phones unless they need to report a life-threatening injury. Photos obtained show visible smoke around the area. Contra Costa fire crews said they were working alongside Cal Fire crews to combat the fire, with over 20 fire crews currently at the scene. Crews told KRON4 that multiple dozers and two to three aircraft are assisting with the fire's containment. Fire crews have not reported any injuries and have yet to update the fire's containment as of this report. They do not have an estimate of when the fire's forward progress will stop.
