CHESTERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The town of Chesterfield had their 4th of July celebrations Thursday morning.
Hundreds attend East Longmeadow 4th of July parade
This was their 77th annual 4th of July Fest. The fest was kicked off with a pancake breakfast and lasted until 1:30 p.m.
Many people came from neighboring towns for the parade and celebrations. The fest had four buses come from UMass that had people representing 25 countries.
"It just brings everyone together... and everyone's caring and respectful of each other," said Suzanne Krebs of Goshen.
After the parade, many people stayed behind, spent time together and ate some classic 4th of July foods. Chesterfield will be continuing the celebrations with a block party this Sunday featuring a fleet of old antique cars.
