KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City police detectives are investigating after one person was killed in a shooting Thursday afternoon. The shooting was reported just before 3 p.m. in the area of E. 69th Terrace and Brooklyn Avenue, just east of The Paseo. Warrensburg woman facing charges for allegedly abusing child When officers arrived on scene they located a man unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of a residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene. KCPD said preliminary investigation indicates the victim had an interaction with an unknown suspect or suspects at the location that led to gunfire and the victim was struck.
