(WFRV) - Wisconsin sports fans are some of the most passionate in the country, and tailgating is a big part of the fan experience. From grilling burgers and brats to playing cornhole and catch, below is everything you need to know for the total tailgating experience. Milwaukee Brewers Thousands of Brewers fans every year show up to American Family Field nearly three hours before Christian Yelich and William Contreras take the field. The Milwaukee Brewers say on their website that fans are welcome to tailgate before games but must follow policies for fan safety and guest experience. Some of the major policies tailgaters must follow are that you're only allowed one vehicle per space and that you must be a ticketholder to be permitted in the parking lots. Fans who wish to park next to friends must arrive early and at the same time. Unfortunately, parking spaces cannot be reserved or saved for fans arriving at a later time. Tailgating activities, such as grilling, must end 30 minutes after the game starts. At that time, all fans must enter American Family Field, or they will be required to leave. For the latest on the Milwaukee Brewers: Parking lots open three hours before the games, giving you, your family, and your friends ample time to hang out and get ready for Brewers baseball. Charcoal grills produce some of the best-tasting meats, and fans can use them while tailgating. However, all charcoal must be dumped in coal bins, which the Milwaukee Brewers provide. The organization continued that no open flames or wood fires are permitted by the order of the fire marshal. If you're thinking about a little post-game party while the parking lot clears out, fans are reminded that all parking lots close one hour after the game concludes. All vehicles must be removed, and violators will be ticketed or towed. Additionally, there are a few options for fans to enjoy before the game. X-Golf, located in what was previously the Stadium Club, features seven state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators. J. Leinenkugel's Barrel Yard is open 90 minutes before the opening pitch. Service is first-come, first-serve for ticketed guests, and tables cannot be reserved with regular gameday tickets. Fans can purchase seated tickets on the Milwaukee Brewers website, giving them a view of the game and the view of some of the best craft beers the state has to offer. Milwaukee Bucks Long story short, you cannot tailgate before Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks tip-off. However, there are many restaurants and bars that fans can visit within walking distance of the Fiserv Forum. First things first, there are two parking structures that fans can park inside. One is directly connected to the Fiserv Forum, and the other is within walking distance. Those are the 5th Street Parking Structure and the Highland Structure, respectively. Those looking to save on parking can use SpotHero, a website that shows other parking lots around the Fiserv Forum that are cheaper than the indoor structures. There is limited street parking, so if you and your party want to take that route, make sure you arrive early. For the latest on the Milwaukee Bucks: The Deer District hosts some of Milwaukee's best food and beverages. The MECCA Sports Bar & Grill is located in the heart of the Deer District and is directly across from the Fiserv Forum. Its 42-foot-wide ultra-high-definition screen will make you feel like you're at the game. Additionally, the restaurant says it has over 100 TVs in its two-story building. Some other fantastic options are MOTOR Bar & Restaurant, the only Harley-Davidson Museum restaurant, which offers guests a riverfront dining experience with a dose of Midwest camaraderie. Miller Time Pub and Grill at 509 West Wisconsin Street offers tasty pub-style dishes such as burgers, cheese curds, and a variety of draft beers. The restaurant is located just blocks away from the Fiserv Forum, so you can eat and then head on over for some Bucks basketball. Green Bay Packers It does not matter if kickoff is scheduled for Noon, 3:30 p.m., or 7:15 p.m.; die-hard Packers fans will be out tailgating as early as 8:00 a.m. All parking spaces in the lots surrounding Lambeau Field are sold to holders of season parking passes, which are distributed by the Green Bay Packers and offered for one year only. Fans wanting to park in these lots can reserve spots on an individual-game basis. For the latest on the Green Bay Packers: For those interested in parking elsewhere, numerous private property owners in the surrounding area offer parking at varying prices. From Stadium View Bar & Event Hall to houses down Morris Avenue, parking is allowed at these private properties. Those wishing to park on the street for free can do so on many residential streets but expect to arrive early for a good spot. If you're tailgating in a Lambeau Field-operated lot, your tailgating set-up must be contained within the 9 x 6-foot space directly behind your parked vehicle to allow adequate room for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Like the Brewers, recreational fires and turkey fryers are not allowed. Grill cooking with charcoal or propane gas is allowed, but the organization reminds tailgaters that the grills must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult and fully extinguished before leaving for the game. Those looking for a bite to eat before kickoff can visit 1919 Kitchen & Tap, located inside Lambeau Field. The restaurant opens at 11:25 a.m. and is open to ticketed guests only until 10:00 p.m. The Packers Pro Shop is also open at 11:25 a.m. and closes one hour after the game to ticketed guests only, giving you enough time to buy that new jersey and the cheesehead you've always wanted. Catch up on the latest from Local 5's Locker Room show One of the most popular locations for tailgating fun is the Johnsonville Tailgate Village. The beers flow smoothly as bands sometimes fill the air with noise. The Johnsonville Tailgate Village is known for giveaways, such as Titletown gift cards and more. Tailgating at bars outside Lambeau Field is one of the most memorable fan experiences you'll get as patrons pour into some of Green Bay's bests, such as Stadium View Bar & Event Center, Anduzzi's, Krolls West, Green Bay Distillery, and many more. The party starts early at these bars and doesn't stop after kickoff. Most places host after-parties as well, win or lose. The Green Bay Packers stress a few important policies: All tickets are now digital, and Lambeau Field is cashless, meaning you'll need some sort of credit or debit card to buy things within the stadium. Those who do not use credit or bank cards may use free cash-to-card conversion stations, which issue payment cards that can be used at Lambeau Field and other retailers, restaurants, and businesses outside the stadium where Mastercard is accepted. Fans can load between $5 and $500 on the cards, and funds will be available to users for five years from the last date money was loaded on the card. More Positively Wisconsin stories Conversion stations will be available at various locations at Lambeau Field and Titletown on gamedays and in the Atrium on non-gamedays. Smoking is prohibited in Lambeau Field, including vapes and e-cigarettes. As a reminder, Lambeau Field gates open two hours before kickoff. Tailgating is a staple of sporting events in Wisconsin. It allows family and friends to enjoy time together and even meet new people. Everyone does tailgating differently, but most fans leave American Family Field, the Fiserv Forum, and Lambeau Field with a similar experience.
