UPDATE: Lake Pueblo no longer at capacity, park back open

UPDATE: THURSDAY 7/4/2024 4:10 p.m.
(PUEBLO, Colo.) — At around 3:45 p.m. Lake Pueblo State Park said the capacity closure had been lifted as the park is no longer at capacity. The public is advised that there may be some delays as the park is still busy.

Lake Pueblo State Park said on Thursday, July 4 the park is completely at capacity and is turning guests around.
In a post on social media Lake Pueblo State Park said at around 10:30 a.m. that the park was at capacity and no more vehicles would get in until the capacity closure was lifted.

A Colorado Parks and Wildlife ranger tells FOX21 there is no parking anywhere in the park and people are being turned away at the entrance, even areas outside the park are full.
