SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- In honor of Independence Day, several administrative offices and other services will be closed in San Diego on July 4. City officials released a guide Tuesday, confirming what will be impacted by holiday closures. Here's a break down: July Fourth weekend brings heat wave to San Diego All city of San Diego administrative offices. Curbside trash, recyclables and organic waste will not be collected for customers served by the city’s Environmental Services Department. Trash, recyclables and organic waste will be collected one day later than regularly scheduled for the remainder of the week.  Residents in other cities should check with their waste hauler for holiday service schedules. Miramar Landfill, Greenery, Recycling Center, Container Sales (trash and recycling bins) and Mattress Collection Site will be closed on Thursday and open on Friday. All city libraries. City swimming pools and recreation centers. Public buildings in Balboa Park, including the Municipal Gym, Morley Field and Balboa Park Activity Center. Check with individual museums and other park attractions for their holiday schedules.  Tecolote Canyon Nature Center will be closed. Parks and Recreation Department Open Space, Permit Center and Maintenance Assessment District offices. Development Services Department in-person services. Online services will still be available, including applying for permits, scheduling inspections, making payments and requesting code enforcement investigations. Check online permit processing timelines for intake, review and permit issuance. Personnel Department’s Testing and Fingerprinting offices.  Your Safe Place – A Family Justice Center: Individuals needing help related to domestic violence should call the Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-888-385-4657. Anyone experiencing immediate danger or a medical emergency should dial 9-1-1. Additional information can be found on the San Diego Police Department’s domestic violence webpage.  As far as what will remain open and operating Thursday, the city released these details: All city reservoirs except Barrett Reservoir will be open. Neighborhood parks, joint-use parks and dog off-leash facilities. Chollas Lake, weather permitting. City golf courses (holiday rates apply). Mission Bay Golf Course will close at dusk. The driving range will remain open until 10 p.m. Mission Trails Regional Park and Visitor Center. Tecolote Canyon Natural Park. City skate parks and the Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track at 5977 Village Center Loop Rd. San Diego Police and San Diego Fire-Rescue emergency crews. On another note, the city said thousands of people are expected to be in attendance for the Big Bay Boom fireworks show. City officials have encouraged those attending to plan ahead for parking and public transportation.
