NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a double shooting in the Willow Brooks neighborhood early Thursday, July 4. NOPD officers said at 5 a.m., they were called to the 4900 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard where a man and a woman were found suffering from gunshot wounds. State officials question gun-free NOPD French Quarter school They were taken to a hospital by EMS. The extent of their injuries is unknown. NOPD officers announced that they are currently looking for the suspect involved in the shooting. They are asking for the public's help to identify the man. Security cameras in the area captured the man driving away in a green pickup truck with a ladder attached. Further details aren't available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine the possible suspect and motive.
