HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WANE) - Several streets in Huntington were temporarily closed Thursday due to water main breaks. "Crews are dealing with multiple water main breaks that have forced the closure of Jefferson Street and several other streets downtown," the city said in a Facebook post that morning. "We thank everyone for their patience as we work to resolve the issues." Washington and Market between Cherry and Warren streets were also closed, the city said. It's unclear how long the closures will last, or when the water mains will be repaired. If a boil advisory goes into effect, the city said residents will be notified.
