GASTONIA, N.C. – A man was charged after he allegedly crashed into a Gastonia Police car while driving drunk, according to a new release. Police arrested 32-year old Jouse Perez around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 3rd after he rear ended a police car on Gaston Ave. Officials determined that Perez was under the influence at the time of the crash, according to a police report. Perez has been charged with driving while impaired and other license violation charges. No further details. The Gastonia Police Department wants to remind everyone this holiday weekend to not drink and drive. The legal limit is .08 in North Carolina.
