Lake Erie College announced that its Education Department is collaborating with Instructional Delivery Services to elevate its Professional Development programs. IDS will take over as the service provider for professional coursework, offering a broader range of courses and instructors to meet the needs of educators across the region, according to a news release. IDS, established 25 years ago in partnership with Notre Dame College, seeks to deliver high-quality professional coursework tailored to the needs of practicing teachers. The partnership between Lake Erie College, located in Painesville, and IDS represents a significant expansion in scope and reach for professional development opportunities, aiming to serve a larger audience of educators seeking graduate credit and licensure renewal, according to the release Under the new partnership, IDS will provide a diverse array of instructor-led courses designed to meet the evolving demands of teachers for reality-based coursework at an affordable cost. Lake Erie College will continue to award graduate credit to participants, ensuring the coursework aligns with the highest educational standards. “We are very excited to partner with IDS,” Jenn Miller, director of the Center for Professional Development, stated in the release. “With such high-quality Professional Development offerings and a wide-reaching audience, we look forward to expanding our Professional Development experiences for current and new students alike.” The collaboration underscores Lake Erie College’s commitment to advancing educational excellence through innovative partnerships and responsive programming, the release stated.
