NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a double shooting in the Willow Brooks neighborhood early Thursday, July 4. NOPD officers said at 5 a.m., they were called to the 4900 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard where a man and a woman were found suffering from gunshot wounds. State officials question gun-free NOPD French Quarter school The extent of their injuries is unknown. No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine the possible suspect and motive.
