STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Stafford County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said a person was detained after they allegedly led state police on a chase in a stolen car. Around 10:38 a.m. on July 1, a deputy responded to the First Auto Gallery LLC, located on Derrick Lane, for a business alarm. Once at the scene, deputies found the front door shattered and learned five Mercedes-Benz key fobs were missing. After reviewing the businesses' camera footage, investigtors found that the incident occurred on June 30 just after 11 p.m. Two teenagers arrested in connection to several armed robberies in DC Deputies said two men allegedly used a rock to break the glass and enter the shop. After stealing the key fobs, one man drove off in a Mercedes and hit a parked vehicle. The second man also drove away in a Mercedes. The SCSO said one of the stolen cars was spotted driving recklessly on Interstate 95 in Prince William County by Virginia State Police. The driver was involved in a pursuit with police and was detained. The Mercedes was recovered; however, the second car has not been located. The sheriff's office asks anyone with information to call Detective Warnick at 540-658-4450.
