FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – It’s not quite the fourth, but fireworks can already be heard across the Central Valley.
Fireworks that fly in the air, dart across the ground, or explode are illegal for private use in California. Any other fireworks that do not bear the “Safe and Sane” seal are also prohibited.
This includes;
mortar-style fireworks
roman candles
bottle rockets
firecrackers
“Illegal fireworks and fireworks used recklessly can easily cause catastrophic fires,” Fresno Fire Chief Billy Alcorn said in a social media post. “They pose a threat to our neighborhoods, our homes, and our loved ones.”
