FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A boy and a man were taken to the hospital after firefighters say they almost drowned in a Fresno pool on Wednesday. Officials with the Fresno Fire Department say they received a call regarding a possible drowning at around 2 p.m. at a home in the area of Purdue Avenue and Ramona Avenue in Fresno. Fresno’s new $1.6M splash pad is now open Firefighters say two people, a man and a boy, were pulled from the pool in the home. They were both transported to Clovis Community Hospital. Their status is unknown. The Fresno Fire Department received assistance from the Clovis Fire Department. The investigation was turned over to the Fresno Police Department. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
