ENFIELD, Conn. (WWLP) - A concerned citizen calling police helped aid police to arrest two juveniles allegedly attempting to break into vehicles. One other suspect is still wanted for the incident. Greenfield woman arrested for alleged involvement in car theft after crash in Connecticut According to Enfield Police, a citizen called police around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday morning after witnessing three suspects attempting to get into vehicles parked around Tolland Drive. When officers arrived to check out the area, a Dodge Durango and red Chevrolet SUV drove off. Officers quickly followed but eventually backed off due to Connecticut state policy on pursuits. However, an Enfield officer was able to deploy a tire deflation device on the Durango which came to a stop on I-91 South. Three people got out of the vehicle and attempted to run away but an officer was able to arrest two juveniles. K-9 and drone units, as well as officers from East Windsor, Hartford and State Police assisted in the search for the third suspect. During their search, it was discovered that a Durango had been stolen from David Street in Enfield, which is less than a mile away from the highway. Police say they were unable to find the third suspect who is believed to also be a juvenile.
