(WRIC) -- What buildings will be closed in the Richmond area in observance of Fourth of July? 8News has compiled a list of public offices and buildings that will be closed in the Richmond area for the Fourth of July holiday. Government offices City of Petersburg government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5. City of Richmond offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and will reopen with regular business hours on Friday, July 5. Hanover County government offices and courts will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5. Chesterfield County government offices and recreation centers will be closed on Thursday, July 4. However, Chesterfield County parks will remain open. Henrico County General Government offices and courts will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Charles City County government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, and will reopen and resume regular business hours on Monday, July 8. City of Hopewell offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5. City of Colonial Heights offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4. Courts will be closed Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5, and will reopen on Monday, July 8. Trash and recycling collections Residential trash collection or bulk and brush collection will not take place on Thursday, July 4, according to the Richmond Department of Public Works. Trash scheduled for pick-up on Thursday will be picked up on Friday, July 5. Hanover County's solid waste convenience centers will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and remain open on Friday, July 5. Henrico County's collection will not take place on Thursday, July 4 and will be collected on Friday, July 5. Friday's route will be collected on Saturday, July 6. The schedule applies to CVWMA curbside recycling. City of Colonial Heights residential recycling collections will not take place on Thursday, July 4. Friday collections will move to Saturday, July 6. Libraries All Richmond Public Library locations will be closed on Thursday, July 4. All Henrico County Public Library locations will be closed on Thursday, July 4.
