How you can help National Archives with Revolutionary War transcription mission

WASHINGTON (WCAX) - Volunteers have been working with the National Archives to transcribe military pension files from the Revolutionary War.It will lead up to the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations in 2026. The special project, to remember America’s first veterans, started last year.Volunteers from across the country-- and the world-- are invited to read the documents, page-by-page, and line-by-line.The work is done online by looking at digital copies.The National Archives hopes these pieces of America’s history will be saved and shared for years to come.Click here for more details on the project and how you can volunteer to help.
