She said she drives from St. Augustine to Jacksonville, a trip that normally doesn’t take her so long.“[On a weekday] probably 30 minutes to where I’m going in Duval, 45, almost 50 minutes,” Glisson said.With 60 million people projected to drive for the holiday, some areas near Jacksonville might be bumper to bumper.“It’s really busy with people trying to get around and go to the beach, or wherever there are free fireworks,” Josh Dowell said.Felix Guvara is one of the six million people AAA expects to fly.He’s going to Los Angeles to see his brother.“We’re going to the airports and we see a lot of people and that means it is very busy,” Guvara said. It was even busy for the 2024 NFL Draft’s number one pick Caleb Williams as he was dropping his girlfriend off at the airport.“Yeah it is a little bit busy traffic-wise,” Williams said. “It took me a little while to get here and out on the roads.”Williams knows his playbooks and which airports are the busiest. He said Florida is up there.“L.A. is the most busy, D.C., Florida and then Oklahoma,” Williams said.
