CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Expect delays on East Independence outbound after a pair of crashes, one of which caused a telephone pole to break in half. One crash involved a motorcycle and another motor vehicle on Independence near Paul Buck Boulevard around 2:15 p.m. The other happened half a mile ahead between two vehicles on the outbound lanes. A white convertible cut off a white truck, causing both to crash into the telephone pole, breaking it in half. Medic said nobody was transported from either crash.
