In 2019 Cayla Campos witnessed an armed robbery. She and her boyfriend were driving around a park playing Pokémon Go before bullets came through her car, killing her. A judge sentenced Izaiah Garcia to a life sentence for killing Campos. Garcia is already serving a life sentence for the 2019 murder of Sean Markey at a house party.
