NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Ahead of the Essence Festival of Culture, New Orleans city officials are preparing drivers for the traffic delays expected in the city.
Officials with ASM Global said anyone headed to the Caesars Superdome can expect traffic when entering and exiting the city due to the ongoing construction on Poydras Street.

Also, along Poydras Street are lane restrictions between Clara Street and Loyola Avenue and will have a major impact on the nightly concerts that run from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. July 6 to July 8.

The Caesars Superdome has partnered with the New Orleans Police Department to manage the traffic flow with hopes of minimizing congestion.
