Children ages 8 to 12 can guide a robot through an adventure of their own creation at 1 p.m. July 23 at Mentor Public Library’s Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave. First, the children will learn the basics of how to use an Ozobot — robots that can teach the basics of computer coding through creative play. Then they’ll team up to create an adventure for their bot, according to a news release. The program is free to join, but due to limited space, registration is required. Sign up at www.mentorpl.org or by calling the library at 440-255-8811 ext. 3. Families can also create their own Ozobot adventure at home by borrowing one from the Main Branch. For more information, call the library or visit mentorpl.org/ozobot.
