CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - The price to put on a cookout this Fourth of July holiday will be costlier than last year, thanks to inflation. Reminder to practice water and boat safety for the Fourth of July That's according to economists with the American Farm Bureau Federation. Their data show feeding a group of ten people this year will average at just over $71 ---compared to last year at $67. Meat will be the biggest dent in your grocery budget---up by 11% this year and averaging nearly $13. Other cookout staples will be costly as well, 32 oz of pork and beans will be nearly $3, and 2 lbs of potato salad at $4.
