SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- One person suffered a minor injury on Tuesday when a small plane flipped at the end of a runway in Kearny Mesa, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before noon at the Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI.
Evacuations downgraded to warnings as firefighters battle 1,000-acre fire
When first responders arrived on scene, they found two people who had gotten themselves out of the plane, per SDFD. Those two were the only people onboard the aircraft.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
