Man arrested in standoff ordered to trial on spousal abuse, threats charges

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A man arrested after a SWAT standoff that occurred after he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend has been ordered to stand trial on spousal battery, threats and resisting arrest charges.
Mauro Zepeda-Gonzalez, 45, is due back in court next week. A trial date will likely be set then.
Man guilty of McFarland vehicle theft, battery
Police say Zepeda-Gonzalez armed himself with a knife in mid-June and threatened to kill his girlfriend at a home on South Haley Street. The girlfriend escaped unharmed.
Zepeda-Gonzalez barricaded himself inside, police say. He was arrested hours later when a SWAT team stormed the house.
