SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A brush fire is burning on Monday in brush on the side of Interstate 15. The fire broke out around 3:27 p.m. on northbound I-15 near state Route 94 near the Mount Hope neighborhood, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. SkyFOX/KUSI in the Sky was over the location where a plume of white smoke could be seen over slowed traffic on the freeway. Firefighters were working to extinguish the blaze.
