SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Hampden County has nearly 90 unsolved homicide cases that the Hampden District Attorney's Office is determined to solve.

Seven of these unsolved homicides occurred in the month of July. Many of these cases have little information available so spreading the word about them can help get them solved.

Annie Delois "Lois" Murchison
July 21, 1977 - 28-year-old Murchison was found dead with stab wounds inside her home at 121 Eastern Avenue in Springfield.
Tammie Marie Lynds
July 22, 1994 - 15-year-old Lynds was reported missing by her parents. Months later on November 4, 1994, her body was found on Fox Road in Springfield.
Edward Brown
July 14, 2002 - 44-year-old Brown was found murdered on Burnett Road in Chicopee.
Noah Borders
July 5, 2009 - 23-year-old Borders was standing in a parking lot outside the Royal Seasons Restaurant and Bar at 339 Boston Road in Springfield around 2:00 a.m. when he was shot.
Hasson Duncan
July 21, 2009 - 25-year-old Duncan was getting into a vehicle when two men approached him and shot him. He was shot on Quincy Street in Springfield.
Raul Vera
July 3, 2011 - 38-year-old Vera was found shot on Lincoln Street in Springfield.
Doris Alzak
July 12, 2011 - After sanitation workers reported a fire within a home at 100 Phillips Avenue in Springfield, 81-year-old Alzak was found dead inside.
