COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Fireworks and festivals are being held all over the Midlands this July 4th. The celebrations of America’s independence will include big firework displays all over the Palmetto State but if you are looking to watch the sky light up in the Midlands here is a list below.   Fireworks Show and More at Fort Jackson: Date: July 4, 2024 Time: 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Location: Hilton Field at Fort Jackson – all people over 16 must have a government-issued ID to enter Cost: Free and open to the public Details: Fort Jackson is welcoming the public to an Independence Day Celebration that will have live music by local bands and artists, food trucks and local vendors. The fireworks show begins at 8 p.m., and there will be a kids zone with carnival rides. Rockin’ Red, White, & Blue Celebration: Date: July 3, 2024 Time: 4 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Location: Doko Meadows Park Cost: Free Details: There will be live music by the Blue Dogs, food, and fireworks. The fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Fireworks Show at Lake Wateree State Park: Date: July 4, 2024 Time: 9 p.m. Location: Lake Wateree State Park Cost: Free with entry into the state park Details: Families can go to the state park for free to watch a fireworks show. Born in the USA 4 Mile Run: Date: July 4, 2024 Time: Main race begins at 7:04 a.m. Location: 4801 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC 29206 Cost: Varies based upon when registration is completed Details: Start your Independence Day morning with a fun run. There are three different options for racers to choose which ran competitors would like to participate in. Fireworks with the Phil @ Segra Park: Date: July 4, 2024 Time: Gates open at 6:30 p.m., Concert begins at 8 p.m., Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Location: Segra Park Cost: Purchase tickets online for $10, parking is $8. Details: Enjoy a family-friendly event with a night filled with music from the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra that will end with a fireworks display. Lexington Blowfish Baseball Game and Fireworks Show: Date: July 4, 2024 Time: 7:05 p.m. Location:  474 Ball Park Road, Lexington, S.C. 29072 Cost: $6.50 – $9.50/ticket depending on seat Details: On July 4th the team will hold a firework display will be at the end of the game. Lexington County Peach Festival and Fireworks Display: Date: July 4, 2024 Time: 9 a.m. to around 9:30 p.m. Location: Gilbert Community Park, 110 Rikard Circle, Gilbert, S.C. 29054 Cost: Free Details:  This year marks the 64th annual Lexington Peach Festival and will provide fun events and festivities all day long, including live music, children’s rides, and more.
