NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Freestone's City Grill on William Street in New Bedford announced it would be closing "effective immediately" on Monday night. In a post on social media, the restaurant said, "to our staff, we apologize that we weren't able to keep things going, you've all worked really hard and we appreciate all that you've done." Freestone's has not shared why the business is closing. The restaurant says it will make further announcements as it is still figuring a few things out including how to handle gift cards.
