(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Bring your canine kid to the zoo this summer! Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (CMZoo) has two more available Dog Days dates in August. Your dog could witness a lifetime experience on Monday, Aug. 12, and Friday, Aug. 23. For these special dates, your well-behaved dog can experience the many sights, sounds, and smells that make the zoo special. Dog parents can purchase tickets online at CMZoo's website. Dogs and humans are welcome to stay in the zoo until it closes at 5 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to put the dog ticket in the cart before their human ticket, as dog tickets are limited and likely to sell out. Dogs must have a ticket to enter the zoo, human tickets will not be accepted for canines. Some requirements dog parents should know about: Dogs must have an up-to-date rabies vaccination. Must be on a leash at all times, and should always be attached to hand or stroller. Leashes cannot be longer than 6' or non-retractable. One dog ticket allowed per adult. Each dog must be accompanied by a designated adult. Dogs must remain under their human's control. Excessive agitation of zoo animals or guests because of barking may result in the party being asked to leave the zoo without a refund. No other pets allowed, dogs only. Dogs are not allowed on Sky Ride or inside restaurants, although they may join you for lunch in outside seating areas.
