ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Louis Perticone, founder of the prominent creative and event space Artisan Works, passed away Monday morning. A representative for Artisan Works tells News 8 that his passing followed his nearly two-year battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. In late 2022, Perticone had multiple brain surgeries to combat the cancer. Following the surgeries, Kimberly Trenholm of Artisan Works, set up a GoFundMe to support to the future of Artisan Works. In a post on Instagram in May, Artisan Works wished Perticone a happy birthday, adding: "For over 30 years, Louis has dedicated his life to supporting artists and creating a space where everyone can experience creativity and feel welcome."
