SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - On Monday night, Maroon 5 will be in the city of firsts. Forest Park Pool in Springfield set to reopen Monday The three-time Grammy-winning band is making a special appearance at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. This American pop-rock band from Los Angeles is offering a limited series of performances across the East Coast. The song “This Love” released in 2004 has reached Spotify’s “Billions Club”, the music video for “Memories” reached one billion views on YouTube, and the Grammy award-nominated single “Sugar” recently surpassed four billion views. The original band was formed when they were in high school back in 1994 called “Kara’s Flowers.” Then in 2001, the band re-emerged after college as Maroon 5. They now consist of lead vocalist Adam Levine, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Jesse Carmichael, lead guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, keyboardist PJ Morton, and multi-instrumentalist and bassist Sam Farrar.
