Road closures, lane reductions in Buffalo, Wheatfield, Evans starting early July

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Construction season is here and with it, a number of travel advisories are being issued for towns across Western New York.
Motorists are asked to plan accordingly and expect delays in Buffalo, the Town of Wheatfield and Evans. See the advisories below.
Buffalo
Beginning 7 a.m. on July 8, Main Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Robie St. to Glendale Pl. Left turns from westbound Humboldt Parkway to southbound Main St. and from southbound Main St. to eastbound Humboldt Parkway will not be permitted. Restrictions are expected to end at 3 p.m. on July 20.
Wheatfield
Expected to remain in place for a month, State Route 429, also known as Ward Road, will be closed near Sawyer Creek beginning July 8. North of the intersection at U.S. Route 62 will be affected. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour.
Evans
State Route 5 will be reduced to one lane traffic, starting July 8, from South Creek Rd. to Stainton Rd. The speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph and traffic signals will be installed temporarily at the intersections of South Creek and Stainton. The reductions and reduced speed limit are expected to last until November.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones.
