LAWRENCE (KSNT) - Abby Glynn didn't plan to spend countless hours on golf for several years. The Topeka native picked up the clubs more and more often as she began high school thanks to a suggestion from her dad. "He was like 'You have some clubs. You went to junior golf as a kid, go try that,'" Glynn recalled. "It was rough at the beginning... but there was a glimpse of hope in there and then I kind of fell in love with it after that." Glynn went on to golf for KU, after graduating from Washburn Rural. She was with the Jayhawks from 2018-2023 and played for two coaches. The WRHS and University of Kansas graduate joined 27 Sports Director Glenn Kinley for an extended interview which aired on K-Nation on Sunday. The interview takes a look back at her time golfing in both Topeka and Lawrence while also discussing the success of other Topeka golfers like Gary Woodland and Andrew Beckler. Glynn says she learned a lot from her coaches all throughout her golf journey and encourages young golfers to find a good friend to play with and learn from one another. K-Nation airs every Sunday on KSNT. Click here to watch Sunday's full episode.
