PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police in Providence are investigating a stabbing that happened on Sunday evening. Authorities responded to the scene around 6 p.m. on Elmwood Avenue and Woodman Street after a person was stabbed above their left ear, Lindsay Lague, a spokesperson for the Providence Police Department, told 12 News. The victim was brought to Rhode Island Hospital by Providence's Fire Department and was conscious and alert.
