Two people were shot, one of them fatally, in separate Saturday evening shootings in Oakland that occurred about 20 minutes apart. A 28-year-old woman was shot and injured and crashed her vehicle at High and Redding streets around 6:51 pm; and a 26-year-old man was fatally shot near the Coliseum just after 7 pm, in Oakland 47th homicide of the year. The closure order was for the Indian Creek Headwaters area on the Mount Hough Ranger District, and the 500 or so (and counting) campers have reportedly moved to the Beckwourth Ranger District, about 12 miles north of the town of Beckwourth.
