BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A pair of motorcycle crashes in Fargo has resulted in one injury case and one fatality — both of which involved teenage drivers. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 8:28 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, June 29, a KTM motorcycle was traveling eastbound on 55th Avenue South when its driver lost control of the vehicle. The motorcycle struck the south curb, while the driver was ejected and collided with a light pole. The driver of the KTM (a 19-year-old from Wahpeton) was transported to Essentia Health, where he later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. North Dakota Crime Tracker 2024 Shortly after the first accident occurred, a Yamaha motorcycle following the KTM took evasive action to avoid the crash, and overturned as a result. The driver, another 19-year-old from Wahpeton, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and was transported to Essentia Health for treatment. These incidents are considered separate crashes and are currently under investigation. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. Subscribe Now Today's Top Stories SIGN UP NOW
