ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) —Saturday’s wet weather has resulted in some schedule changes for the last day of the Rochester International Jazz Festival. It was a later start as organizers watched the weather and made necessary changes and cancellations to the scheduled acts set to play. But those who traveled up to listen to some music still plan on making the most of it For those heading to the Rochester Jazz Festival for Saturday’s Brubeck Brothers show — make sure you head to the right venue, and at the right time. The group will now perform at the Kodak Hall Eastman Theatre due to some water leaks at the originally scheduled Kilbourn Hall location. Also, instead of a 6 p.m. start time, the group will start one long set at 8:30 p.m. today — also effecting performances of three high school band concerts. These changes not affecting the excitement music lovers are maintaining. Joe and Jennie Cali travel up from Buffalo each year for the festival. Even with the weather making some last-minute changes to their itinerary, they say they’re making the most of the later start. Check out News 8's local weather forecast “We’re just doing it. You know. We were wondering if we should even come down here, but we decided to, and make the best of it” And they have some acts — they’re hoping to catch. “Definitely The Meters, and hopefully the Brubett Brothers,” Joe said. As organziers continue to watch the weather, be sure to also watch the Rochester International Jazz Festival website for the latest updates on start times for the band you want to see. Organizers are expected to provide a briefing Saturday evening on how this years’ festival has compared to previous.
