PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Former Kentucky men’s basketball player Justin Edwards is a member of his hometown NBA team, the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pennsylvania native signed as an undrafted free agent on Thursday evening after not being selected in the 2024 NBA Draft.
The agreement is a two-way deal which means that Edwards can play for the team’s G-League side, the Delaware Blue Coats.
Edwards played one year with the Wildcats. He ranked second on the team with 30 starts. Edwards averaged 8.8 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game. He scored in double figures 14 times, and finished the year shooting 48.6% from the field and 36.5% from 3-point range.
