Green Bay dog park adds multiple amenities, includes structures for pets and owners

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Vital Essentials and On Broadway, Inc. announced the completion of phase two of updates to Vitality Essentials Dog Park on June 19, officially unveiling the new amenities on Thursday.
Since opening in October, the park turned into a hub for owners and their pets to enjoy the outdoors.

Recently, it was named the "Best Placemaking Improvement Project" fromthe Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC)’s Wisconsin Main Street Awards, according to the release.
"Seeing this previously vacant, grassy lot in our district become a vibrant space for the community to gather with their dogs has been so rewarding," On Broadway, Inc. COO Allie Thut said. "The partnership with Vital Essentials has allowed us to make the enhancements to the Dog Park, providing even more reasons for the community (and their dogs) to live and play in the Broadway District."

The features in phase two are:
Clover Planting: Earth Science, a Broadway District business, provided clover, a low-maintenance, drought tolerant, sustainable and dog-friendly surface.
Permanent Shade Structure: Offering a cool retreat on sunny days.
Agility A-Frame Structure: Challenging dogs to reach new heights of fun and fitness.
Tennis Ball Library: A playful twist on the ‘Little Libraries’ concept, encouraging communitysharing of tennis balls.
Interactive Mural: Created by local artist Andrew Linskens, adding vibrant colors andcreativity to the park.
