EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Chihuahuas has released their newest jerseys, just in time for Independence Day. The exclusive "Starts and Stripes" uniforms will be worn by the baseball team as they play the Albuquerque Isotopes on Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4, according to the Chihuahua's news release. At the end of both games, Southwest University Park will hold its Firework Spectacular, choreographed to patriotic music, the Chihuahuas said. Baseball fans can try to win game-worn "Stars and Stripes" during an auction at noon on Tuesday, July 2. To join the auction, participants can text "BID" at (915) 600-6677. The auction will end on the final out on Saturday's game, July 6, and all proceeds from the auction will benefit El Paso non-profit organizations, the Chihuahuas said.
